Jr. Vipers Academy is a year-round youth basketball co-ed program set up for young athletes in grades 1st through 12th looking to improve their basketball skills. We welcome all skill levels.
Our training is designed to provide a structured, hands-on and positive atmosphere to the game of basketball. During the training sessions, we separate the campers based on skill level. Our goal is to teach the youth in our community the importance of hard work, competition, team work, and sportsmanship while progressing the basketball skill and knowledge along the way. From individual skill development to team play, Jr. Vipers Academy aims to provide a well-rounded level of basketball instruction from our ‘USA Basketball’ certified coaches.

During the Rio Grande Valley Vipers basketball season, home game discounted tickets are available for Academy members. All home games are played at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg.

Cost
$120 per month (+$75 for Practice Uniform)
(sibling discount for immediate family members is available)
Training Time (effective April 2025)
- 4:45pm-5:30pm, Pre-K4 & K5 ($100)
- 5:30pm-6:30pm, 1st Grade to 4th Grade
- 6:30pm-7:30pm, 5th Grade to 12th Grade

Training is conducted by Jr. Vipers Academy Coaches on two NBA-SIZE, side-by-side wooden-floor basketball courts.
What To Bring/Wear
- Jr. Vipers uniform is required to be worn by all participants and can be purchased during online registration. Uniforms are in stock.
- Uniform includes Jr. Vipers reversible jersey and Jr. Vipers shorts. An undershirt is optional.
- Academy will provide basketballs and any other equipment needed
Most Importantly
- We encourage players to bring their own bottled water.
- A drink vending machine and a concession stand is also available in our state-of-the-art facility.
- Parents are welcome to stay and observe. Plenty of sitting area (bleachers) is available.
