Jr. Vipers Academy FAQs
What is Jr. Vipers Academy about?
Jr. Vipers Academy is a youth basketball program affiliated with the 3X NBA-G League Champions-Rio Grande Valley Vipers. We offer structured, small group training for boys/girls ages 5-18 of all skill level. Our experienced and USA Basketball certified coaches focus on training athletes on the fundamentals of basketball.... dribbling, shooting, passing.
Is there basketball games in the Jr. Vipers Academy program?
Yes. We integrate 5-on-5 basketball games and other competitive contests the last 15-20 minutes of each training session.
My son/daughter is a beginner. Can they participate?
We welcome boys/girls of all skill levels.
Is the Jr. Vipers Academy program seasonal?
We offer our basketball training Academy year-round.
Are we committed to a long-term contract when we sign-up our child?
We do not offer long-term contracts. We ask that you commit to a minimum of 1 month. You can withdraw from the program at the end of any month.
Where does Jr. Vipers Academy have its training?
We are located in the north gym of the Edinburg DHR Sports Center, also known as the Edinburg Parks & Recreation building. 315 E. Palm Drive, which is off of Freddy Gonzalez Drive.
Does my son/daughter have to take a basketball?
We provide basketballs and all training equipment needed to participate in our program.
Does my son/daughter have to wear a uniform?
Yes, we require that all participants wear their Jr. Vipers Academy reversible jersey and shorts.
Do I receive a discount if I have 2 or more children that want to participate?
Yes, we offer a sibling discount for a family of more than 1 child joining our Academy.
How does the monthly fee work?
We account for a month as a calendar month, from the 1st day of each month to the last day of the month.
