Vipers Academy is a year-round youth basketball co-ed program set up for young athletes in grades Pre K4 through 10th looking to improve their basketball skills. We welcome all skill levels.
Our training is designed to provide a structured, hands-on and positive environment to the game of basketball. During the training sessions, we separate the campers based on skill level. Our goal is to teach the youth in our community and surrounding area the importance of hard work, competition, team work, and sportsmanship while progressing the basketball skill and knowledge along the way. From individual skill development to team play, Vipers Academy aims to provide a well-rounded level of basketball instruction.

During the Rio Grande Valley Vipers basketball season, home game discounted tickets are available for Academy members. All home games are played at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg.

Cost
$125 per month (+$75 for Practice Uniform)
(Sibling discount is available for immediate family members)
2026 Spring & Summer Schedule:
- 4:45pm-5:30pm, Pre-K4, K5 & 1st Grade ($100/monthly; Limited spots)
- 5:30pm-6:30pm, 2nd to 5th Grade (Court 1)
- 5:30pm-6:30pm, 6th to 10th Grade (Court 2)
*Grade levels as of 2025-2026 school year.

Trainers
Training classes are conducted by experienced Vipers Academy Coaches at the Rio Grande Valley Vipers practice facility basketball courts.
What To Bring/Wear
- Vipers Academy uniform is required to be worn by all participants and can be purchased during online registration. Uniforms are in stock. Spandex or volleyball shorts are not allowed.
- Uniform includes Vipers Academy reversible jersey and Vipers Academy shorts. An undershirt is optional.
- Academy will provide basketballs and any other equipment needed
Most Importantly
- We encourage players to bring their own bottled water.
- A drink vending machine and a concession stand is also available in our state-of-the-art facility.
- Parents are welcome to stay and observe. Plenty of sitting area (bleachers) is available.
